Date Of My Catch:06-28-2014

This is my first day fishing down in Florida. It was 95 today and the water in my father in laws pond is about 85. I have been throwing Texas rigged craws and worms slow dragging them along the bottom on and off all day, Nothing. Decided to try topwater about 45 mins before sundown and on the second cast working the lure in a 3,2 pop cadence BAM!! a giant blowup. She jumped a few times. Saw that she was bigger then our IL bass it got my heart pumping. She put up a small fight, probably do to the warm water. It was an awesome feeling and a great fish. My personal best largemouth. My guess around 5.5-6 lbs(no scale or tape). What an amazing first day and great topwater fish. Can't wait for the rest of the week.
