I used mostly Shad Raps but the techniques really depended on the day. Sometimes they wanted it bounced off rocks. Other times I cranked it slowly upstream with the occasional pause. A last resort was to let it dangle downstream in the current next to cover. Shad Raps with any orange seemed to be the hot lure. I used crayfish and bluegill patterns. The other thing was to cover a lot of water. Fish were there one day, gone the next so I didn't spend too much time in any one area. If they were there they bit pretty quickly. Time of day didn't seem to matter much as I went out mornings and afternoons.
