Fluke and I made plans to hit up one of his secret spots where your guaranteed to catch some. I arrived there a little bit before Fluke and see that Wacky is there waiting for us. A little bit later Fluke arrives and gets in a little trouble pulling his rods out from his car. When he finally gets his rods out we head to the spot.
Fluke tells me the best to use here which are plastics and I set up. When Fluke gets his set up he nails one on his first cast. Not to long after that I feel something hitting my plastic. Then BAM , it takes off with it and I set the hook and I know I have him. He gave a good fight before I got him to shore and he was a fatty. He measured at 16 inches and about 3 pounds maybe 3.5. I haven't had any luck fishing in Illinois this year except for a couple 12 inch bass. I knew that today was going to be a good day and after about 3 hours of fishing I finished with 4 good size bass. I learned a lot that day and have had luck ever since.
